PRATOGAL is a Portuguese company specialized in the management and operation of catering and food services.
Founded in 1999, Pratogal – Fabricação de Pratos Cozinhados, Lda. is dedicated to the management of cafeterias, canteens and other food spaces, with a particular focus on collective food services environments.
Over the years, the company has consolidated itself as a strong name in the institutional food sector, offering solutions both for the public sector, such as Schools, Hospitals, Prisons and Public Companies or Public Entities and for the private market, such as IPSS’s, Nursing Homes, Day-Care Centers, Private Companies and Large Organizations.
PRATOGAL’s objective is to provide quality food, adapted to the needs of its customers and respecting nutritional and health requirements.
Among PRATOGAL main activities are the Management of Canteens, Cafeterias, Restaurants and Catering Services, with a commitment to quality and sustainability.
The company is also known for its concern for the nutrition and well-being of consumers, offering balanced menus adapted to different dietary needs.
Throughout its history, PRATOGAL has been an example of social and corporate responsibility, guaranteeing excellence in the services it provides an approach focused on the satisfaction of its clients and customers.

The main objectives of our Integrated Management System are to define the methods and responsibilities of the main processes, to ensure the continuous involvement of all employees, to guarantee customer satisfaction and to constantly improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the processes.
Uniself has adopted a Quality Management System based on the NP EN ISO 9001 standard for the “Provision of Public and Private Catering Services”, which applies to both the Head Office, Factory and the Operational Units.
In addition, the company has implemented an Integrated Management System at its Head Office and Factory for the ‘Production and Distribution of Pasteurised and Deep-Frozen Meals’, which includes the following standards, NP EN ISO 9001 (Quality), NP EN ISO 22000 (Food Safety), NP EN ISO 14001 (Environment) and NP ISO 45001 (Health and Safety at Work).
Environmental concerns and the promotion of safety in the workplace are key factors that cannot be separated from the rest of the company’s activities. Only by exploiting synergies in all areas can we achieve positive and sustainable results.
As part of environmental concerns, decarbonization measures have included the installation of more than 1260 solar panels at the Group’s headquarters,with an estimated energy production of more than 1,130MW/Y – Megawatts per Year.




In terms of vehicle fleet, we are converting it to an increasingly electric fleet, thus contributing to the mitigation of climate change, promoting the reduction of carbon emissions.
A correct waste management, where waste is sorted and sent for recycling, is one of the procedures put in place to promote and contribute to a healthier environment and to respect environmental policies.
